External HDDs with PC and Mac
    « on: July 17, 2012, 07:30:51 PM »
    Good evening,

I have an external hard drive from Western Digital and 2 different computers: a Mac and a PC. Whenever I plug my HDD into my Mac, I cannot add/move/remove files; it only works when it is connected to the PC. I think this is because my HDD is formatted in NTFS, like my PC and that Mac uses a different kind of formatting.

I was wondering if there was an easy way for me to transfer file from my Mac to my HDD. I am currently using a 16GB USB key so it is very consuming whenever I want to put stuff on my HDD (I usually transfer about 600GB at a time).

    Thank you!

Not sure what you want to accomplish here...
The MAC PC would need an app that will read Windows files and vice versa...

Why not just get another external ? ?
