    Changing colour of a photo
    « on: August 22, 2012, 07:44:48 AM »
I would like to know, please, how to change the colour of the sea on a photo while retaining the texture of the scene, I mean,  to get the ruffled surface of the water showing on the new image.

    If possible, stepbystep directions, please.

    Many thanks for yr kindness.

Guzeppi It is apparent that you are trying to learn how to use a photo manipulation software program as you are repeatedly coming to the CH forum with questions related to a very specific task you are trying to achieve. If i am not mistaken the software that you are trying to use is a version of Adobe Photo-shop. If that is so and because of your earlier stated problem with reading instructions in the English language i have a suggestion for you. I am providing a link to the Adobe Photo-shop software forum which i suggest you join and seek the assistance of the forum participants there. It is not that we here on the CH forums are unwilling to try and help you but it is a fact that numerically the number of CH forum members truly knowledgeable about that program will be small compared to the Photo-shop forum where the majority of the participants will be in a far better position to assist you than we are here.

Grateful for your prompt reply. Will follow your advice later and let you know how I fare.

Yes, of course, I use photoshop and the version I have is CS5.  I have done a couple of courses, particularly modules 1 and 2, and I have learnt a lot over the years, slowly and rather painfully, as I am a slow learner.  However, there's always something new that crops up and that baffles me, like the present problem about changing the colour of a sea scene.

Many thks as ever, and kind regards.
