    Hi -
I just submitted a long question but could not find "spell check".  What happened to "spell check?  I need it.   Bob

If you did spell something wrong, then a red line appears underneath to notify you of a word that is wrong. No red line, no spelling mistakes. If you do get a red line, right click for a list of alternatives.

Though you must understand that a correct, out-of context spelling will not be flagged

i.e.  To rip presents you need paper and sticky type (rip should be wrap and type should be tape, but because they are the correct spelling, they are not flagged)

I like how you invoked the Holiday spirit in your example.... ;D

How the described spell-check works is based entirely on the browser they are using.

It seems clear to me that they are referring to the built in Spell-Check capability that used to be available through the forum software. To answer the question: The forum was upgraded a bit ago and Forum-integrated Spell Check is just one of many casualties of the upgrade.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

bobhigh,If as BC states the component part of CH that performed  spell check is no longer a part of it then for your information (again as BC points out) i use Opera as my browser and the spell check as reddevilggg describes it does provide the service. You might want to try using Opera for awhile. If your as atrocious as i in the spelling dept. i wouldn't want to be without one. truenorth

          truenorth -
Thanks for your suggestion but I think I will stay where I am at.  I am not smart enough to handle more than one thing at a time.  Notice my problem in my post about e-mails.  I am trying to take on Windows Live Mail and I am getting educated.    Bob
