Microsoft Office 2013
« on: February 17, 2013, 08:58:57 PM »
Hi,

If i save my work by default in office 2013, can it be opened with 2010 or 2007 (another computer)?
Or can 2007 & 2010 opened with 2013?

Thank you.

No, except as noted herein.  The default format for Office 2013 is Dog Food.
From Office 2007 onward it should be the same. Older Office suites won't read the MS XML format, which has been called Dog Food. Which is very kind.

It's also worth pointing out that you can use file -> "save as" to use a different format or certain compatibility options. This can also let you save a, for example, word 2000 or 2003 document, or RTF, plain text, PDF, etc.

I messed about with this a bit immediately after installing Office 2013; if memory serves, Without Changing any options, the resulting Save File opened just fine in Office 2007.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

My experience as well.
