Liquid cooler doesn't work with motherboard.
    « on: June 20, 2013, 04:20:30 PM »
Hi i have an Asus P8h77-VLE motherboard, and its got one of those little mettle plates on the back which keeps me from using my H40 corsair liquid cooler. I was disappointed but don't want to buy a whole other motherboard. I've seen that the newer versions of this product don't need the X-like clamp on the back and it looks like my version could use what they use but it didn't come with it. I looked all over for a conversion kit or something but couldn't find anything.....any suggestions?

I'd contact ASUS Support on this, as for that looks to be the receiver for the 1155 socket from the images on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131826

They may be able to direct you to a liquid cooler that doesnt conflict with this.
