Mouse - left click acting lick right click
« on: October 15, 2005, 03:27:56 PM »
I have a mouse problem that I have never come across.  When on the desktop or in some applications such as Microsoft Outlook 2003, the left click acts like a right click and the right click is dead.  When in other applications like Internet Explorer it's fine.  In other windows (like pop-ups - task manager) the mouse doesn't work at all.  I have rebooted several times and even switched the mouse to one that I use on another PC that definitely works.  I am running Windows XP Professional.  Any advice?  Does this sound like a setting one of my children might have changed or some sort spyware/virus?  Any help would be very appreciated.

Either of those are possibilities. Can you go to Control Panel/Mouse settings and check there? How about asking kids?
