ASUS X401A Laptop Issue

Hi this is my first post ....

I have the above mentioned Laptop , last night had Windows Updates as i powered down , let them finish the switched off . Rebooted Laptop today and went into ASUS recovery process , followed prompts , then X:windows\system32\cmd.exe runs , stops with :

cannot find .........C: Tools\cleanFPROM\APP\x64\vcsCleanSensorFlashEng.exe

The options are close or OK

When i press OK , I get .........

[diskpart/s X:\Tools\FormsatScript3f324.txt] meet error !!

Large RED ERROR on screen .

I have no CDROM on board to redownload windows 7 if that was the issue .

Would be grateful for any help or advice

Big warning on screen says:  "Do Not Turn off Computer".  Since you did not heed this warning, what did you expect?
Recovery process reinstalls Windows from Recovery Partition; you will lose all your personal stuff (if any).  It appears that Recovery Partition is either damaged or missing.  Windows can be reinstalled from a bootable USB drive.  Which version of Win7?
