Mouse randomly stops working

My mouse will just shut off, then I unplug it from the tower then plug it back in and its fine...do you know why it does this??

Jennie i would suggest just replacing the mouse. For the low cost it's usually alot quicker than troubleshooting them.
I recommend anything by Logitech the best brand i've found thru the years.
