    Advice on my build
    « on: March 20, 2015, 08:10:16 PM »
Hey guys, im a college student on a budget. I have already bought a gaming case, 550 watt psu and curently ordering 8gb of ram. I was wondering what combination of cpu/apu would combo good with an r7 260x (best on my budget atm). I would like to have it around a 100$ Cpu. Also which of these two is better for the price, http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=msi+r7+260x&N=-1&isNodeId=1
    or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121898&cm_re=r7_260-_-14-121-898-_-Product
    or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131623&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Desktop+Graphics+Cards-_-N82E16814131623&gclid=CjwKEAjwiq-oBRC9gvHCsvDdn2cSJACV3DFREEvK7bvoNCV6n2C7W_PSc3XJ7jLb7pWY6-cs1HQyNhoCP2Lw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds.
And lastly would any other cpu/gpu combo compete with this build at under $210 for both? Thanks in advance. :)

Out of those I'd certainly go with the ASUS card.  What PSU did you buy?

We really need a full budget for the system and a list of what parts you already own.

Ultra profesional v2 lsp 550 watt. I can probably go to 250 for the mobo and cpu. Ill just be playing semi modern games (Skyrim/ Bioshock Infinite) and dont mind playing @ 30 fps on a 1080p screen. My case is well insulated (turbo fans) so i shouldnt have to worry about heat. Its water cooller compatible so ill by it later if i do indeed have problems with it. As for the GPU, is there anything better @ the $125 dollar mark (i dont mind rebates). I also dont live near any computer outlets (now that tigerdirect is closing shop hear) so it would probably have to be online unless its at best buy. So in total about $350 for mobo, cpu, and gpu.

Ps. Id consider it a bonus if the gpu is an OC edition (planning on using several screens)
