No "Device ready to Eject" Message Cloud
    « on: April 25, 2015, 02:32:18 PM »
This really isn't a big deal but....when I eject a USB device I get the "ok to eject icon" but I do not get the written message in a cloud. My SIL's rig runs the same Win 7 OS and she gets a neat little written message in a cloud telling you it is ok to eject. I would like to have this message show on my rig but I can not figure out how to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Perhaps she's running a Theme...

What does that mean? I looked at the themes shown in the Control Panel and I can not a connection between theme options and the "ready to eject message".

Sorry, but the only thing she can tell me is if her PC is plugged in. I did find the answer though. Looks like I will have to make a change to the registry which I am not going to bother doing. My version of Win 7 does not have the option to edit Local Group Policy but neither does my SIL's. Go figure.

Thanks but I do not have enough confidence to do this. Maybe if it were something really important but not just to get the message bubble. Too afraid I will muck something up and not be able to back.
