Looses time / date after restart Win 7
« on: April 30, 2015, 04:25:34 PM »
Every time I shutdown / restart my HP 6715b laptop running Windows 7 I have to reset the time / date. I changed battery on motherboard and it has a good main battery that is fully charged. It doesn't matter if it is plugged in to AC voltage or not.
 What to do?

How for off is the time?  Many Hours? Wrong date?

Did you mean you replaced the cell for the RTC, real time clock?
If that cell fails, the clock will lose time.  But if the cell test good, the clock circuit has been damaged. And you would have to get in contact with HP to see if there is a way to fix it.
This article might apply to your laptop.

Yes the article is long-winded,
- but more that one issue can be involved.  :)
