I just recently, got a new keyboard and mouse setup for one of my machines.  I plugged in the usb reciever and found the keyboard without problems but, the mouse don't seem too respond.

This is a brand new Logitech MK700 ? And the mouse and keyboard are part of the same package?
This is the first time you used it?
You do know that both mouse and keyboard require batteries. Check again. There is a switch under the mouse.
If you can not get it t o work with reasonable effort, you should contact first the vendor for a refund. If the vendor does not help, contact Logitech on the support forum.

They can give you help with your specific issue.
