Can't Access Administrator Account Windows 10

Hi

Whilst trying to remove the need to keep using a password to activate my new PC computer in Windows 10, I'm somehow now not able to open some programs like defraggler and ccleaner. A message keeps coming up you must have "administrator privileges". I think that I must have deactivated the administrator account by accident whilst trying to do this. I managed to deactivate the need for a password on my laptop with no trouble at all!!

I've tried "run as administrator" but a small error window comes up with a "to continue, type admin password then click yes" message in the small window BUT there's NOWHERE for me to type the password in the small window. Presumably this is my own password?? This prevents me using the usual net user administrator/active:yes prompt in the command prompt box to enable me to reactivate the administrator account because I can't log in as the administrator. It's a Catch 22 situation!!

Any help or suggestions will be gratefully received. Many thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I've watched both videos but I can't run admin account because I get the error message mentioned in my original post.

I'm going to try and re-download windows 10 on my pc to clear the problem.

You should not have to reload Windows 10. As a security measure they make it hard to get to the hidden administrator account. But once you have done it, it is not so hard. Like a game. You can look up how to use the NET command.  You have to get each stop right. Then it works.

Why do you need to run these things on a new computer?

Do you have a restore point from before the time the problem started to which you can return?

Many thanks for all your replies and advice.

I've solved the problem by removing widows 10 and then reinstalling it. I can now get access to all my programs and no error messages appear.

The only thing I now need to do is get rid of the need to type in a password when starting up and gain access to my PC. Any advice will be gratefully received.
