    How to update via Firefox, please direct link?

    If you go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/,  it will either confirm that you have Flash Player installed and tell you what version you have, or, if you do not have it, it displays a link to install it.

      Flash plugin for all non-IE browsers, except Chrome, on all versions of Windows

      When you paste the link in your address bar, you will get the download window immediately. This downloads a slim version so you don't have to uncheck/untick the "extras" that Adobe tries to tack on to the install.
