Ross, does this happen on every game you play? On both graphics cards? Also, please list your system specs. here.

Nearly all games like AOE 3 soons as im kicking *censored* outta sum1 it seems like sumin gives up cus its 2 much. It happens on both graphics cards
Old Graphics = geforce 4 ti 128ddr
New Graphics card = ATI radeon x800xl 256ddr3

2800xp athlon
1 gig ram runnin at 333
asus nforce motherboard
200gb western digital hard drive

It could be a heat issue, try it with the side off the case and a desk fan blowing on it.

In addition to a heat related issue it's also very likely that this is a driver related issue. Because this issue appears to be happening in multiple games.

Download the latest radon drivers from ATI's web site.

In addition make sure you have the latest DirectX (DirectX 9.0c) installed on the computer. Most games will have the install for DirectX on the CD. Or you can visit Microsoft's site.
