"Memory test fail" message at start up?
« on: January 01, 2006, 12:54:09 PM »
Upon initial boot up, I get this message, which stops things cold. I have to then hit F1 to continue the boot up process, and get to the Win95 desktop. My pc has 32RAM. My 8 yr old PC hasn't been doing well since the memory test fail message has been appear upon itinial start up. Big problem? Time to scrap it? Tips? Thanks.

Your computer and Operating System is not worth you spending any time or money on.

You can try removing and reseating your RAM chip. You may also wish to test it with the free download at www.memtest86.com
