computer freezes while playing 3d games?

ok, anytime i play any game thats in 3d it will only work for a random amount of time and then freeze suddenly. the sound buzzes and sometimes it even forces the computer to restart. does anybody have any clue what is happening? i have changed my video card and also added more ram, but the problem never goes away. help please!

1) Test your RAM, and make sure it is compatible with your system.

Is the rebooting problem since you added the extra RAM?

2) Make sure you have adequate cooling to CPU and system

3) Make sure you have an adequate power supply. If it is an "el cheapo" or came with a no name case, it should be upgraded to a name brand PSU on general principle. If you didn't spend $50 on at least a 400 w PSU it is suspect.
