display/graphics problem on XP
« on: January 12, 2006, 02:41:45 PM »
I just did a system restore and and had to uninstall/reinstall my isp (yahoo).  Everything on the pc seems fine except when I click on the icon to start my internet, the monitor flashes off, then back on,
and when it comes back on, the display has changed from 32bit down to 8bit.  I can reset this, but
what causes this, and how can I fix it?  (I'm a bit of a rookie!)

Check your device manager, system restore probably screwed your video drivers.
