Mic Trouble
« on: January 18, 2006, 07:22:33 PM »
Anyone know why my mic doesn't want to pick-up much of anything? It's turned on and connected, but when I record you can't hear anything... Why?

The mic just may be bad. Or, the volume control just could be down to a low level. I would check everything to make sure it is good to go.

It looks like everything on the sound is 100%... I'll try to contact the manufacturer...  :-/  Any other suggestions?

    Flame:

Make sure it is firmly connected to the RCA port.  Try running DxDiag: Start | Run | Type dxdiag and click OK.  Make sure you have the latest drivers for your operating system installed for your sound card or for the controller on the motherboard.

Well, Raptor suggested checking the 20 db option, and that for the most part has fixed the issue... However it's still kind of hard to hear... You'd have to probably turn-up your volume...

Read the warranty (if it came with one).

Got plenty of warranty. Two years. I'm not going to cry faulty hardware yet. Maybe I'll E-mail Logitech.... Thanks for your replies! I'll keep everyone posted as to any updates that I might come accross....
