Computer won't go past initial HP screen
« on: March 06, 2006, 02:24:59 PM »
Came home from work today and turned on my desktop.  The computer comes on but after the initial start up the blue screen with the word HEWLETT PACKARD comes on and then nothing else happens.  I somehow don't think this is good.  All ideas excepted.  Thanks.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

Is the blue screen that you refer to a POST screen or a pre-OS logo?

Try to go to the BIOS (pressing either f1 through f4) and Go to the exit and then select Load Setup Defaults and then select YES and then after that select Exit Saving Changes.. and then select Yes...it should work..
P.S. Give us some feedback on how it goes..
