No more Full Screen in Windows Media Player
« on: April 08, 2006, 10:01:45 PM »
I can't play video files at full screen mode anymore. This happen in Windows Media Player and Window Media Player Classic.

When I try to play movies in Full screen, it just got kicked back to normal size.

I have other players such Acer Arcade and Real Player. These can play full screen properly.

Thank you very much.

It is clear you need to run HijackThis and post a logfile. Get it here. Download, install to it's own folder, run, save logfile, zip logfile, and attach it to your next post. Attach button is below your reply box.

Hi Dilbert, thanks for ur help...

I can't upload the log file, it said the attachment causes the directory to exceed maximum capacity.

I uploaded it to rapidshare instead. Here is the file:

Do you use Yahoo! services? If not, get rid of this:
        O2 - BHO: Yahoo! IE Services Button - {5BAB4B5B-68BC-4B02-94D6-2FC0DE4A7897} - D:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Common\yiesrvc.dll

        O2 - BHO: (no name) - {724d43a9-0d85-11d4-9908-00400523e39a} - C:\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\roboform.dll
You have two of those. Get rid of the one with no name.

Do you use the MSN toolbar? If not, get rid of it:
        O3 - Toolbar: MSN Search Toolbar - {BDAD1DAD-C946-4A17-ADC1-64B5B4FF55D0} - C:\Program Files\MSN Toolbar Suite\TB\02.05.0000.1105\en-my\msntb.dll

You may also want to get rid of anything with a O8. However, note that if this causes problems, you can restore any of these. Just let us know if doing this causes problems with a certain program.

        Ditto for all O9's.

That's at first glance. I am not certain this will fix the problem, but it might, and it will make Windows run faster.

I am using those programs. I deleted most of the 08 entries... No obvious change seen.

I've now uninstall most of programs that require startup at windows start and done registry clean and reinstall some of the system drivers and utilities. Still no improvement.

The computer really cause me to scratch my head. I think I need to go for the last resort- Reformat...

        Thank you very much anyway...
