clone hard drive for backup
« on: April 18, 2006, 04:58:14 PM »
I have Windows XP Pro. with 500 MB memory and a 40G hard drive (call it HDA).  I think HDA is close to failure. I want to be able to copy everything on HDA to another HD (call it HDB) so that when HDA fails I can simply swap it for HDB and have everything work.  I plan to update HDB once per week until HDA fails, then get another one (HDC) to backup HDB.

I don't know how to do this.  I hope someone can tell me or point me to a suitable tutorial.
