« on: May 04, 2006, 02:10:03 PM »

hiya
well, i had norton anti-virus, and a mixture of me not using my computer for about 3months, plus being lazy led to it expiring. do i need 2 *BUY* the new anti-virus program (costs £25 as im a student  [smiley=grin.gif]) or can i just use the same cd i already have and uninstall wat i have, and install that again? or is that a load of rubbish im talking  [smiley=embarassed.gif]?
im thinking that i shud just get the new version, and make sure i dont miss that deadline date after a year or whatever.
thank u xxx  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

ps... or is norton actually rubbish, and i shud go with something else?  :-?

Uninstall Norton, check the Norton website for instructions.
    Get AVG Free http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/
    Your computer will love you.

      AVG Free
Rapid virus database updates for the lifetime of the product
      Easy of use
      No system slow down
      Automatic update functionality
The AVG Resident Shield, which provides real-time protection as files are opened and programs are run
The AVG E-mail Scanner, which protects your e-mail
The AVG On-Demand Scanner, which allows you to perform scheduled and manual tests
The AVG Virus Vault for safe isolation and handling of infected files
And most of all ... great customer satisfaction :D

You should also have a Firewall & Antispyware installed.
