Why do I suffer with a lack of intelligence?
« on: June 08, 2006, 02:06:44 PM »
I use Windows XP Pro on my PC and connect to the internet via a cable modem.
I am linked to a second PC with Windows 98SE, using a router DI-Link-704 b and recently went to the D-Link site to set up a port, which I did.

Since then, the second PC will not connect to the internet but I note on startup that the light where the router is attached comes on when the PC is booting up, but then goes off.

Can you please offer advice on what I should do to resolve the matter.

Is the router in line after the modem, linking the computers?
