WiFi Ethernet Adapter/Bridge
« on: July 14, 2006, 09:17:25 AM »
Hello,  I travel on my job and frequent many hotels/motels and just about all of them offer wireless.  Some offer an adapter that I use my ethernet connection and power the adapter by a USB port.  Those work great.  Most do not.  Is there a universal one that is on the market that will work with all systems that is compact in a zippered case?  I have been researching this for 2 hours and don't seem to get anywhere.  Thanks in advance.

A 802.11g PCMCIA adapter should work with pretty much any wireless system out there, apart from the really esoteric ones.  Go for a brand name adapter for a better experience...

How about a Linksys, Netgear or DLink frrom newegg.com for the same price or less. That's what he meant by brand name.   ;)
