    updates keep installing over and over

    im running windows xp and whenever i install a windows update or my virus scan updates its like my computer doesnt realize its been updated. 15 minutes later it installs the update again and just KEEPS doing it. its really annoying. it just keeps installing the same updates over and over. what would cause this?

      yeah, but this one has my virus software doing it too. i didnt know if it was related or not.

      Are you sure you are clean from malware? How do you know? What happened prior to all of this starting?
