Hi

I have an Audigy 2 sound card and seemed to have developed a problem. I have tried installing the latest drivers, but still the same thing happens. What happens is as i am loading a map in battlefield 2 and about to come into the game, i get what i can only describe as a whistle sound and then it just cuts the riffle sounds out of the game. I have tried installing the drivers over and over again, but without any joy. Can anyone here tell me what this might be and how to get rid of it.

May i also add that somtimes it gives of a beep or whistle noise and it all works fine.

Thanks.

I would borrow another sound card from a friend, install the proper drivers for it, re-boot and see if the problem persists...
If it doesn't then you have solved your problem...you need a new sound card.
