    Gaming computer and SLI - help

    Id like to know a few good web sites i can go to to learn and buy (in the future) a computer..I am a gamer and sometimes have my comp on for 15 hours a day. I have recently heard about something called sli for the future of the computer and am intersted in learning about it.
    Computer: Windows 7 ultimate/SP3,/680i lite Sli mobo/512MB DDR3 NVidia GeForce 9800 GTX/  (2GB kit (1GB x 2 Balistix 240-pin DIMM (ALIENWARE) (12/10 new hd)-seagate barracuda 7200.2 1 TB -7200rpm 32mbcache sata 3.0gb 3.5 Internal harddrive

      You get your on case and power supply, just make sure you get a 500w or more
      with out a case and power supply it is

      An Alienware with all that would be like $5000.00
      You will also need to get dvd-rom drives and cd drives

        Talk about overkill. My computer costs a fraction of the price of that, and can play all the games I play well. The funny thing is that computer you listed, in a year or two, will probably be a fraction of the price too. Unless you MUST have the best (and you're rich), I'd settle for something a bit less extreme.

        If you don't know what SLI is, you probably don't need it.

        Google is a good way to research all of your questions.  ;)

          WOW!!!  This is great guys...thnx sooo much. My bf decided to build a comp, sooo ill be back with lots-o questions. Ty I aprreciate this :)

            alienware is for gamers who know nothing about computers. people who know things about computers make their own.
