How can I disable "Enter Network Password"?
« on: August 15, 2006, 12:03:06 PM »
I have searched for a way to do this but have had no luck. Sometimes outlook
just cannot connect to certain email servers (usually comcast). It gets ver
y annoying having that window pop up every minute. I have TweakUI Version 2.
10.0.0 and I don't see any solution in there. I have no use for the window,
if I ever want to change the username or password I'll do it in tools>e-mail
 accounts.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

How often do you get this message?

Does it only appear when you open Outlook or Outlook Express?

Does it happen when you first boot up the computer?

Once in a while it happens and only when outlook is open. It can be for 5 minutes or sometimes a few hours.

If it only happens when Outlook is trying to connect to the Comcast mail server, have you contacted them about the issues you've been having connecting to them?  Usually, you get that request for a username and password when there is a problem communicating with the mail server.  If all your account settings are correct, you shouldn't be experiencing any problems...unless there is a problem with the mail server.

Keep me posted.

Thanks for the replies

It's not only comcast. It's any mail server once in awhile.

But that's beside the point. All I want to do is disable that window if there is a way.

Thanks
