    Hi,


    I am new to www, pl can U give me the details of ports like 2000

    there is prob of 'pl check or set internet explorer setting' to connect  

    172.17.16.23:2000

    pl tell me what is 2000 ?

    I need to give exact answer to my custmer for this regards,

    where I can get the securities details of web?

    The high range ports aren't reserved for a particular application, so you will find that several different services may use this port.  From my brief search, I found the following users of this port:
    • ShixxNOTE
    • RemotelyAnywhere
    • Peer2Peer Radio
    • Callbook
    plus a whole host of trojans.

    In future a Google search such as "port 2000" will turn up some answers for you.  And >here< is a particularly useful resource.
