Computer Shutting Down on it's own
    « on: September 30, 2006, 01:13:16 PM »
I have a samsung computer with windows xp. The computer was acting strange for the past four to five days and was not starting up most times. I inserted the windows xp cd and reinstalled the same. Now it comes up and looks a lot better till I try to sign into hotmail and when I type  @ the computer powers off automatically.  I am sending this message from the computer at work. Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards

Will try my best...OS   windows XP Pro...Ram 512   other details I am not sure as I will have to send a message home and ask for the same. With regard to the keyboard, well that could be a problem as some bright kid opened it up and left it like that. It took me several attempts to get all the contacts in line. Mcfee virus scan, counter spy.system mech pro 6 are the progs installed. Hope this is helpful to you guys and I thank you all for the time.

Yes I have. I am not home now but at work. I have asked folk back home to change the keyboard and see if it would solve the problem. Still awaiting for a reply. Thanks for your time.

Sorry, I did not make myself understood. Well I am not home now and when I do go back home, I would be able to to check on that and let you know.
