XP NON RESPONSIVE

OCCASIONALLY I BOOT UP AND TOWER LIGHTS COME ON H/D RUNS EVERYTHING LOOKS NORMAL BUT SCREEN DOES NOT ACTIVATE.  SCREEN PILOT LIGHT FLASHES .  CHANGED SCREENS - STILL SAME PROBLEM.  UNPLUG  MAINS AND REPLUG SCREEN PLUG AT BACK OF TOWER - AFTER ABOUT 5 MIN IT THEN BOOTS NORMALLY.   :-? 1. CHECKED ON POWER OPTIONS CTRL PANEL SAYS UPS NOT ACTVATED BUT NO OPTION AVAILABLE

First, turn off the caps lock key, unless it is broken too. That is considered rude.

To get any meaningful help you need to give some information about the system, how old it is, when the problem started, other problems with it, what happened unusual right before it.

So info on the computer including the make and model number and the power supply, including maker and wattage (it's on the side of the power supply inside the case).
