Power Supply Question.
« on: December 05, 2006, 05:38:33 PM »
Hi guys, I have a question.

Right now I have an emachines T6534 tower http://www.e4me.com/products/products.html?prod=T6534 with a 300watt standard power supply. I recently (about 3 weeks ago) purchased an EVGA 7600GTS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130054, and have been running it in the machine without any problem, but now I want to upgrade to a gig of RAM by putting in a 512mb stick http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145026.

The question is, do I need to upgrade my PSU to do this? The only things I currently have plugged in are a keyboard, mouse, and wireless USB adapter. Thanks alot for the input.

You shouldn't, although more watts on PSU would be helpful.

If it survived the graphics card I don't believe the RAM will put it over the edge.
