Sound does not work with internet media.

When I view any kind of streaming audio or video or flash animation or anything, I'm unable to hear the sound for it. It plays, the video shows fine, the position slider moves for music, etc, but no sound :|

I tested it in both Firefox 2.0 and Opera 9.0. Neither work. Sound plays fine from media on my computer, just not when it's coming from online. Any suggestions?

Has this ever worked correctly? You may want to download codecs from here:

Choose The Codecs 5.0 - 9x/ME/2000/XP (English) near the bottom.

Ah sorry, I forgot this info. I was in a rush when I made the post.

OS: Windows XP Pro (SP2)
Sound Card: C-Media CMI8738/C3DX Audio Device

I tried in IE 7 as well and it does not work.

And yes, GX1_Man, it has worked before. I think it's been like this for about a week, but I don't watch much online media so it wasn't a big issue. I just decided it was time to stop putting it off.

EDIT: Well those codecs did not work, unfortunately.

Try updating the sound card drivers.
