SATA hard drive (external)
« on: February 13, 2007, 02:34:36 PM »
I've just purchased a brand new 100gb SATA external hard drive, I then got  an enclosure for it. When I connected the USB connection into the computer it picks up that there is a mass storage device but I can not access it. I've checked through Device Manager and it says it's working ok. I've tried on two seperat computers running XP and both say the same, I've also tried to download an updated driver for it but it seems I have the latest. I have also downloaded a diagnostic tool from Fujitsu it says there is a power supply problem. There are no red lights on the enclosure only a solid green one and the hard drive is running. Help  :)

And have you used the Disk Management tools to partition and format it? That is the next step.  ;)
