my computer won't turn on
« on: February 23, 2007, 04:56:13 PM »
My computer was working until I moved, when a dent on the front left side appeared. At first I could get the comp to turn on but nothing would happen, no startup sequence at all, just a black screen. Now the power won't even come on. Hopefully someone will have a suggestion on how to fix this, other than hiring a diagnostics guy because that's the obvious ultimatum.

A dent appeared, or it was damaged? That sounds like the case, but you, or someone else will just have to open it and have a look inside to see what the problems are.

I've opened it up and reset the bios and all that jazz but I haven't been able to determine what is causing the problem.

Are you sure all of the cables are connected properly?  Nothing's cracked?

It sounds like the PSU's malfunctioning, but it seems a little odd since the dent is towards the front.
