LAPTOP NO KEYBOARD, MOUSE OR TOUCH PAD
« on: March 10, 2007, 05:02:44 PM »
:-? PRESARIO V2000 KEYBOARD, MOUSE AND BUILT IN PAD ALL DISABLED AFTER I MADE A FEW CHANGES . IE ADDED WIRELESS MOUSE, DISABLED THE BUILT IN PAD, AND CHANGED THE STYLE OF CURSOR.
COMPUTER BOOTS OK,WIN XP ETC BUT I CANNOT CLICK, TYPE, AND THE CURSOR IS INVISABLE OR MISSING.
HOW IN THE WORLD DID DO THAT? AND CAN I FIX IT?

Can you boot into Safe Mode and reset everything you changed back to the default settings?

Yes I did Alan, the problem continues in safe mode also.
Yesterday I tried to uue the recovery cd to solve the problem, and it went ok until the very last . then a popup window ask for a response. I could not answer of course without the mouse and keyboard. It keeps attempting to load on bootup now.
The wireless mouse transmitter/ reciever plugged into a usb port lites up when I move or click the mouse. But the curser is missing so I don't know if it is working or
    not.
    Thanks Alan
