All around computer trouble
« on: May 11, 2007, 09:51:40 PM »
Ok so heres the deal, I havent been on my computer for about 3-4 days and I started it up today and it went through the boot stuff fine and I was able to type my password into login screen but when everything opened my mouse was frozen and so was my keyboard. No big deal shut it off manualy when I started it agian it went through the disk check and came up with the login screen. I typed my password and it took the *censored* thing like 3 minutes to login when it usally takes like 10 seconds, well anyway it loged in and I noticed I diden't have sound checked everthing and then when I went to check Volume Control it said "Diver not Found" so I'm gussing it deleted my driver for my sound card. I was like ok so I got the CD for my soundcard and clicked install...nothing happend....clicked agian same thing. I was getting pretty pissed so I restarded the correct way then all kinds of mess started popping up and then my computer shut off. I let it cool for a wile and started agian it dident do disk check but it ask me how I wanted to boot. I clicked Windows XP and it booted fine. But when I got to the login screen it took another 2-3 Minutes to log in. Ok....I need to restore..I went to all programes and clicked Acer Emanagment and click eConsole and it said "You Must Have eConsole Installed First!" so it deleted it also. Went on the Acer website to see if I could download the eConsole but could not find it ANYWERE. Well my computer is still under it's one year warrenty so maby I should just send it in for repairs or something.  Any way if you know you can help please do.

Exactly what OS is this?
And what protection do you have?

Download CCleaner (install without Yahoo! toolbar) and clean up a bit with it.  Then update AVG and try scanning with it in Safe Mode and let us know if anything comes up.
