I can go to the log on view. Log on but windows logs me off.Windows is updated to the latest edition. I am running EZ Antivirus. last time I could log on was 2 weeks ago. I think it comes from an anti spy program. It deleted something which I do not remember.
I tried with the recover CD but it does not accept my password. ???

Can you get in to safe mode ? ?
Is the XP CD a Microsoft one or OEM ? ?
If it's OEM such as Dell HP Toshiba etc. you will lose all your data...

Are you saying you forgot your Windows Admin password ? ?

There are alot of variables here and more ways to approach this...post back with the info requested.

No I can not get in in the safe mode. As soon I log on as Admin. the screen gets black and I see "safe mode" in the corners. After a few seconds  the blue windows log off screen comes on and logs me off.
This happens with the administrator and myself. I tried to boot with the CD but I have the same effect.
I have a OEM version from Dell.

No, I did not forget the password but Windows does not accept it. I was reading about loosing all the data on the message board  but I like to avoid this.

I tried also some option with F8 but it did not help at all.

      You could try this...

but I don't know whether or not you have the recovery console available on an OEM disc.

Since recovering your data is now the priority the safest method would be to hook up your drive jumpered as slave in another machine with a burner so you can retrieve/copy what you need from that drive...
In the meantime see if anyone has a MS XP CD of the same version you are running so you can try to recover your system using the Recovery console.
If so let us know so we can instruct further.
