Windows Explorer still shows pevious disc contents
« on: August 03, 2007, 09:37:35 AM »
Hi there, first post so here goes. Im running Windows XP Sp 2. When working in windows explorer with a cd or dvd, when I have finished and put another disc in the drive, windows still shows the previous discs contents. I have tried refreshing after ejecting the disc but it doesn't help. Any ideas I can try because it has me stumped. Thanks in advance

Its a Pioneer DVR 109 DVD-RW Drive. I'm not running any programms. Its like when I put in a disc with anything a game disc, music disc or photo disc, after I have ejected it and put another disc in, it still shows the previous discs contents when I look in My Computer or Windows Explorer.

To disable it, go to the Control Panel and click Add/Remove Programs.  Click the Add/Remove Window Components.  Simply unclick the Indexing services and click next!

            Hello everyone,
I'm replying this old post because i have exactly the same problem as Brehin.
I don't know if anyone has helped him or if he fixed his problem.
I have the same thing happening to me.
I have a pioneer dvr110d writer that works perfect that is not
the original writer in my system.
eveytime i put a cd or dvd in it, explorer shows me the disc
            that was in it before.
My pc is up to date xp pro sp3, no indexing, latest drivers
and software, I use an asus motherboard p5ld2.
            Thanx for helping
             :)yusat
