joystick usb help

I have a joystick saitek x7 38 which is set up through usb game port converter under
wins 98se do i still have to load the joystick driver or usb driver to get the joystick running.I dont have the driver for the joystick and it is hard to find on the net is there away around it.

These include Win98...i'd give it a try.
