IE7 - Delete Address Bar History

I have deleted the history on IE7 but have noticed that if a type in an address that does not commence with "www." it will bring up all websites visited commencing with the letters I type.

For example, if a type a "w" up will come an autocomplete such as "whitepages.com.au"

Does anyone know how to rid this history?

Tools/Internet Otions...click the Delete button, then the Delete History button...click OK and/or Apply.

Done this before, so did it again.

No luck the history is still appears in the address bar when you start typing.

What do you have installed as far as Internet Security?

You may be using a software program that is not allowing you to make changes to your browser settings.

This software may be configured to disallow other sites from making changes to your homepage...while at the same time...preventing any history changing.

Get back to me on this please?

You can also try downloading, installing and running CCleaner.

Tried CCleaner.  Again no luck.

I have not internet security programs except for AVG Antivirus and the XP Firewall.

Under Tools/Options check to make sure autocomplete is turned off...

Turned off the Autocomplete.

These addresses still appear !!!!

search your registry for TypedUrls. delete them if found.

Sounds like there may be some type of BH going on here...

I followed instructions from Microsoft Website to delete typedurls and still no joy.

What is meant by BH ?

After you unchecked the 3 boxes in 'Auto Complete' as Patio suggested did you try closing IE and running ccleaner?
