Laptop to TV setup problem

I was recently able to get my laptop to display on my LCDTV thru a M/M cable (blue, looks like a serial cable...analog?) Anyway, now I'm wondering how to get the sounds from the laptop to play thru the TV. What wire(s) do I need? Links to the item would help a great deal. TIA

Like I said, I don't know what cable I need, and no I don't already have sound. I got a DVI->HDMI cable to get the video to work better. I need to know what kind of cable that is and if it's even the right one. TIA
