    Everest Home Edition
    « on: October 08, 2007, 07:40:15 PM »
I downloaded Everest Home, and other than telling me what hardware I have, it doesn't do much. I have Vista Home Premium, but i dont think taht should matter. Shouldn't it tell me my temps. and voltage's/watts im using? There is a "sensor" button and it doesn't show me anything. Not sure what I need to do, so any help would be great. Thanks.

The Sensor selection shows temps and voltages in my setup.   Does your mobo have sensors fitted?
One good deed is worth more than a year of good intentions.

I have a full version, so, it does show, but I don't remember it from a free edition. I'm not sure, just thinking aloud.

I use the last free version before they put a time limit on it and it shows temp & volts.

Well thats whats weird, when i first downloaded it, it did show my temps and stuff. But it only showed them once. If the version I got is a timed version, it doesn't state anywhere that it is. Maybe i should just uninstall it and install Feds' link. Thanks guys.

Home Edition is not timed. You may try reinstall, as suggested.

Yes I tried to re-install and still the same.

I have an Intel D945GCL MoBo. No idea if it has any sensors. But say it doesn't, then how does BIOS get it's readings??

Google for Motherboard Monitor, and check if it gonna see your sensors.

You're right Broni Home Edition is not timed but it might be getting hard to find since it was discontinued.

You're right, but free version (2.0) is already far behind the newest version (4.0, or so).
I never worry because there are always new freebies out there.

            You're right, but free version (2.0) ...

            I think it is v2.2 .

And for anybody following along,  here is another place to download it:

So what you guys are saying is that if I dont have the newest version or at least the latest FREE version, it wont work properly? I would assume that googling "Everest Home Edition" would give me a link to the latest version first. Which is what I did, only I dont recall the version I downloaded.

I still need to install the MoBo monitor that Broni suggested, so maybe that will give me some needed info. :-\

I think we agreed that all versions of Everest showed temps & volts Blake.
I know with mine they take a short time to display after selecting the sensor but only a few seconds.
Edit:Check help>about in Everest if you want to know what version you're using.
                I'm on 2.20.405

Home Edition is no more (only old version).
Now, they have two $$$ versions:
                - EVEREST Ultimate Edition
                - EVEREST Corporate Edition
