Headphone Issue
« on: October 20, 2007, 04:24:38 PM »
I recently was forced to reformat a relatively new laptop.  After the reformat, my speakers work fine.  When I plug my headphones in, the computer recognizes them.  I can test them in control panel and hear the test in my headphones.  But that's it, I hear absolutely nothing else with my headphones.  Any ideas?

first, get yourself another working pair of headphones and connect to your computer and test. let us know how it goes.

it is probably something wrong with your current headphones IF your computer's speakers and sound card are good and in working order.

And what brand is the headphones you use and how old are they?

Does same thing happen, no matter, if you use front, or rear jack?
