nero 7 wont play dvds but will play games and music cds

Hello There
can anyone help me i got my son a second hand computer and when i was testing it out i could not get it to play dvds it just comes up with a message saying the drive is not ready but it plays games and music cds so i dont know what is wrong it is windows xp and nero show time please can anyone help????? ???

Does your computer have DVD player, or it's just CD player?

Hi Broni yes it has a dvd rom and when i run a test it says it is working fine

Check if you have DMA enabled:
