Sound doesnt work

im currently on windows xp pro

and i went to do some updates

when everything was all restarted i noticed my sound stopped working it wont detect any of my sound devices when i tried to reconfigure it

im guessing its my soundcard driver or something like that?

Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
Any yellow exclamation/question marks there?
