MONITOR FLICKER
« on: November 19, 2007, 01:53:12 AM »
I have recently had to reinstall my operating system and all my programs.  I now a problem with my monitor which is driving my eyesight crazy!!!

The problem being that the screen has a "flicker" from the top to about half way down the screen.

Has anybody any suggestions for curing this problem please.

What kind of monitor is this?  CRT or LCD?
What OS are you running?
Have you tested the monitor on another computer?  And vice-versa?
Did you install the latest graphics card drivers?

Hi it is a CRT monitor, and I am running Windows XP Professional.  I have not the facility to run or test on another computer.

This monitor was fine up until the re installation 3 days ago.  I have found out how to increase the screen resolution which I have done from 60MgHz  to 75 which has improved it some but not completely.

Thanks for the interest

Have you tried to change the settings for the monitor?

After reinstall, you need to get fresh video driver.
