Geforce 8800 question

Can someone tell me, is a geforce GT 512, better then a Geforce 8800 gts. So i guess what i am saying is a GT better then a GTS.

    Short answer: Yes
    Long answer: Yes..alot better?

    but ya it really is better, even better than the 640MB version..just a quick search on google (maybe something like 8800GT reviews) will show u that the 8800GT is right behind the GTX...some tests its better than the GTX..so buy GT if you can find it.

      so Tony what do you find "great" ? the Ultra?

      I am pretty sure Crafty is going for a budget card, and the best budget is the 8800GT when compared to other stock cards.

      Its my opinion , i didn't suggest a different card did i .... i was clearly stating i don't like either ...... both cards are not brilliant to play the latest games i think there will be a few set backs ....

      The 8800GT is the best option out there.
      It's the best bang for your buck, and one of the highest performing cards too.
      It is right behind the GTX.
      However, preliminary reports indicate the new GTS cards may be better than the GT, but it's wait and see at the minute, they;re not out yet.
