    Missing tab in Display properties
    « on: December 13, 2007, 01:12:46 AM »
    System Configuration :

    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz E4400
    Intel D945 GCPE Motherboard
    Seagate 160 GB IDE HDD,
    1 GB RAM
    LG DVD writer
    Windows Xp SP2

    Problem :

After using this month (November-07) 's Digit CD, all the tabs except Themes tab in the Display properties such as Desktop, Screen Saver, Appearance, Settings have gone missing. When I opened Device Manager, I found that Display driver got un-installed-having yellow exclamation mark. I tried to update driver but could not update it properly. I also un-installed and then re-installed but driver problem was not gone. Finally, I did System Restore.  As a result, display driver problem was solved. But, the problem of missing tabs still remains unsolved.

At the time of using DIGIT CD, the colour quality in Settings tab was 16 bit 800 x 600 resolution.

Kindly suggest me how to fix the problem.

There are several fixes, each for different tab missing, here: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Just search for "Display" word throughout that page.
